Soffie,

You are right. The evidence from the mouths of the participants only confirms
what we have known for a long time, culminating in Jammeh himself telling
muslim elders he received at "koriteh" that YDE belongs to him. The question of
why Ousman Sillah was shot and who would have reason to shoot him has been
clear, as well as the reason that their co-conspirator baba Jobe is caged so he
will not spill the beans.

Then there is also the testimony of Baldeh who stated that he was merely
informed that 2.5% of the shares of YDE was in his name, and the other 2.5% or so
was in the name of someone else, with 90% in Baba Jobes' name. Is that not a
classic example of setting up a dummy corporation with shares distributed to
names simply to hide who holds 100% of the shares of that company? None other
than Jammeh owns 100% of YDE and he knew full well that they were avoiding
paying customs duty on goods they imported., and the testimony of Adama Deen who
said that the standing order to let YDE clear goods without paying customs duty
was something he found there when he took over as MD of Ports is another
clear evidence where this order came from. So they stupidly shot Ousman Sillah,
thinking that will put an end to this fiasco.
Who else would get away with authorizing the importation of goods without
paying duty under this tyranny? The present fiasco to cover that issue up and
present scaprgoats is only because the IMF and other donor agencies wanted to
know that the revenues from which the loans given to our government are to be
paid from are intact, and the review of the central bank and other affairs of the
Gambia government is what has forced these issues into the open. Otherwise,
this regime is so clueless that they actually believed that they can just keep
on looting and nothing will come of it. It goes to show you the kinds of minds
that this so-called leadership posseses.

YDE was set up with the actual owner hidden for a reason, it was set up to
pull the rug from underneath the feet of Gambian businessmen and women who used
to import commodities so that Jammeh can buy and sell these items and drive
these business people out of business.
He attempted to do the same with his vegetables by farming using free labour
of the army and undercutting the prices of market vendors, people who are
lucky to make D25 in one day so they can feed their families. Is this a government
that has the interest of Gambians at heart, or a mafia operation? Are the
budgets of all government departments also not being administered from the state h
ouse so that this regime can buy whatever the government needs to buy at a
lower price and resell it to the government at a mark-up? This regime treats our
country as one big commercial venture and that is why if oil is found in
Gambia, who will believe the people will ever benefit from it?
However, Soffie, the web is closing in on this regime and we will never
relent until we end this senseless corruption and the assets stolen by these people
will be recovered no matter where they think they can hide it and no matter
what clever ploy they use such as pretending to deport Tarik Musa so he can
continue to administer the loot they have acumulated on the outside. Why else
would they package him up and sneak him out of the country when he owes all that
money to banks? Who else along with him owes that money to the banks and why
are the banks afraid to say anything about it?
The web will get tighter and we will keep on exposing these criminals until
we get our country back from the clutches of those who do not abide by or
respect any laws and still insist that they are a legitimate government.
The people will decide because it is their right to do so.This si something
that these people do not seem to realize, but we will just have to teach them.
