REASON TO GET OUT OF BED THIS MORNING

A state legislator in California is sponsoring a bill to make many
pricey college textbooks free by creating an open-source library for
frequently assigned texts. The bill has a hefty price tag, but if the
idea caught on in other states it could be a huge boon for
cash-strapped students.
