Hmmmmmmm! And what is the source of this D1 million pledge? His salary and
per diem? Farming and animal husbandry? Allah's bank? I hope our people
are not going to turn the blind eye and just focus of what this money could
do for the players, but to start to address the main corrupting element in
our country - Yaya Jammeh. This is yet another material that NADD can
discuss with Gambians. Heck, this criminal is giving us evidence of his
criminal activities everyday, yet Gambians just stay mute, including all
those that were rounded up a couple of months ago for embezzlement. It is
really interesting that in Africa, Presidents/thieves have more net
resources than the states they mislead. Where as our state coffers are
empty, but Jammeh is so loaded that he can pledge D1 million to a soccer
team. The same person rounding up folks for supposedly stealing D77,000.
Yet the APRC NAMs have no problem guarding the biggest thief in the history
of The Gambia, Yaya Jammeh. Folks, these are the low hanging fruit in the
case against Jammeh that even the sycophant of the sycophants cannot defend.
I wonder why, for 40 years we live on handouts as a nation. Please read
on.

JAMMEH PLEGES D1 MILLION TO GAMBIA U17

President Yahya Jammeh has pledged 1million Dalasi to the U17 National team
for scraping through to the semi-final stage of the 6th Edition of the
Africa U17 tournament currently taking place in Banjul.

The news, monitored on The Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS)
Friday evening, say head of State Jammeh pledge 1 million Dalasi cash for
the Scorpion’s performance in the Tournament. The news came after
Gambia-Ghana encounter at the independence Stadium in Bakau.

President Jammeh is well known in the country for his benevolence and has on
May 6th promised to make the U17 Team proud no matter what result they pull
in the tournament.
Ghana won 1-0 on Friday but both proceed to the Semi-final stage after
leading Group A on 6 points each. Same day, Group A mates, Mali and Burkina
Faso game ended 3-1 in favour of Mali.

The Eaglets’ win could not however prevent them and Burkina Faso packing
home after failing to secure enough points from previous matches to qualify
to next stage.
