AMS,

I made my comments in ONE EMAIL based on the info. received regarding this
convicted paedophile and OKo gave an explanation in an email followign that.I
did not see any hounding occurring between those two events. I accepted his
explanation. In my view, there was no need for an apology. Even if the news was
years old, questioning it is very relevant indeed.
Also, I commented on the mass grave and termed it a ploy by the APRC to gain
points. On Oko's appointment, i congratulated him and stated that i hoped it
was something that will benefit Gambian artists without going further and i
hoped that comment was understood by Oko.
Then there is the second issue of associating with the APRC.
As far as I am concerned, this association with the APRC will continue to be
watched because they never do anything without a motive and no one in this
regime escapes the clutches and control of Yaya Jammeh, especially people
personally appointed by him, so let us not fool ourselves and start practicing
selective criticism here. I think it was plain foolish for Oko to accept this
nomination because tell me what it will add to what Oko was already doing except
bring it under the control of the APRC and they always have motives, as well as
link Oko to a murderous regime.
