According to Raymond Hinish, Pharm.D., of the Your Prescription for Health
Wellness Clinic (www.illnessisoptional.com) it is absolutely possible that
President Jammeh of Gambia has found an herbal formula that could cure many
people suffering with HIV and AIDS. "We must not dismiss this formula just
because it sounds crazy," he says. "We naturally assume that because the
formula came to him in a dream that it must be an artifact of mental
illness. We forget that this is precisely the way that the theory of
relativity came to be, Albert Einstein saw it in a dream."

(PRWEB) March 19, 2007 -- According to Raymond Hinish, Pharm.D., of the Your
Prescription for Health Wellness Clinic (www.illnessisoptional.com) it is
absolutely possible that President Jammeh of Gambia has found an herbal
formula that could cure many people suffering with HIV and AIDS. "We must
not dismiss this formula just because it sounds crazy," he says. "We
naturally assume that because the formula came to him in a dream that it
must be an artifact of mental illness. We forget that this is precisely the
way that the theory of relativity came to be, Albert Einstein saw it in a
dream." He does not suggest that this herbal concoction is a cure for HIV
and AIDS, he simply does not dismiss the possibility that it could be. "The
knee-jerk reaction of conventional medicine is to dismiss unconventional
thought simply because it is unconventional," says Dr. Hinish.

Many of humankind's wonderful discoveries were presented to the inventor
through the subconscious mind in the form of a dream. Otto Loewi, made his
Nobel Prize winning discovery that nerve transmission occurs through
chemical pathways through a dream. Kekule discovered the benzene ring
through a dream of atom "beings" that clustered before his slumbering eyes.
Among the many discoveries, the most fascinating as it pertains to the
Gambia story is of Madame C.J. Walker, the first self-made female
millionaire. Madame Walker founded the first African American cosmetic
company after a struggle with an unexplained scalp infection that caused her
to lose all of her hair. In a dream one night, she recounts that a black man
appeared to her and told her what herbs to mix up and apply to her scalp.
Some of these herbs occurred in Africa. She sent out for the herbs and when
she received them, mixed them up as described to her in the dream and then
applied the concoction to her scalp. Soon her hair grew back faster than it
had fallen from her head. She then offered the same concoction to her
friends for whom it worked. This formula then went on to become the flagship
product that made her into a multi-millionaire. Is it possible that the
dream world is the conduit through which the subconscious mind provides us
with answers to our most pressing questions?

can we blame him for not wanting to cooperate with the western medical
community?
President Jammeh caused great controversy by ceasing the conventional
anti-retroviral treatment in adults and children with HIV and starting them
on his herbal formula. A United Nations representative was kicked out of the
country when she suggested that patients not stop their medications until
the herbal formula could be properly tested. People argue that President
Jammeh is being manipulative by not allowing "experts" to review the records
of the patients who have been "cured" by his herbal formula. Reporters have
been allowed to interview the patients and speak with his western trained
medical doctor, in both cases the parties report cures. This does beg the
question, "can we blame him for not wanting to cooperate with the western
medical community?" It is this community who have leaped out into the press
labeling his treatment some sort of snake oil without first investigating
the claims. What would western medicine do with the formula if they were
given the recipe? Would they really put it through serious testing? Would
they put a few drops in a test tube to see if it destroyed the virus? If it
failed to destroy the virus would they then hold a press conference shouting
claims of snake oil and fraud? "There is a vital distinction that needs to
be expressed here," says Dr. Ray Hinish the Your Prescription for Health
Wellness Clinic, "I am not saying that his herbal concoction is the cure for
HIV and AIDS, I am saying it could be the cure for HIV and AIDS." It is
unlikely but entirely possible! Why not proceed with this mentality that
errs on the side of possibility and hope? Perhaps if we come to him with an
open mind and express nonjudgmental interest, perhaps the doors will be
opened to outside scientists. Think about it…would you open your door to
violent group yelling politically correct profanities at you?

"Is it really so farfetched that a cure for HIV and AIDS could come from an
herbal source? Isn't it interesting that a significant number of the
medications on the shelves of our pharmacy, including cancer and heart
medications, find their origin and are sourced in herbal remedies? Isn't it
interesting that some of our greatest breakthroughs in science came from the
dreams of men and women who were opened to the possibility of subconscious
intervention? What will happen to innovation if we ignore this fruitful
creative garden that exists only when we shut our eyes for the evening?
There are valuable lessons to be learned here whether or not the herbal
formula pans out to be a cure. Is it unlikely? Yes…but wouldn't it be
interesting and amazing if it worked and we acknowledged its benefit?
Wouldn't it be catastrophic if it worked and we shunned it away without
giving it at least an ounce of our time and effort?"
