  Press Release!!!

Oussou Njie Seņor Signs with World Record Label/Company.

Ismaila Oussou Njie Seņor of Faateleku fame have today June 13th 2000, after
long negotiations, signed a Production/distribution contract with the
California based world music label: "Anonymous Web Productions" This world
music production, label, and record company is headed and owned by its
President; World Famous Soul singer/songwriter Mr. Thomas Allen Green,
  commonly known as Al Green.

Zimbabwean Musician/Singer: Thomas Mapfumo has released cds and cassettes on
Al Greens Anonymous record label on which Madfumo has been signed for some
  years now.

Oussou Njie Seņor who has just turned 55, May 27th now joins Thomas Madfuma
on this label. As the only West African on this record label.

Oussou also is the only or one of the few Gambian musicians to be signed
directly to an international record label. This will mean that from now
onwards, Oussou's products- music and video etc, will be distributed and
sold World Wide in Retail Wholesale Outlets not forgetting the internet; on
the record company website. The 14-song repertoire, which will make up the
CD and 2 cassettes- Best of Faateleku, CD. Faateleku Vol. 2, cassette and
the re-released on Cassette-Faateleku Vol.1 were recorded, mixed, engineered
and produced in the Gambia at Yellowgate Studios by music maestro, Elie
  Nachif.

The recording will be re-mastered by world famous sound engineer Mr. Manny
Rettimger of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Rettimger after listening to the
songs on DAT, has nothing but praises and admirations for the diligent and
high quality recording & musicianship Elie Nachif and his crew put in these
recordings. Arrangement between AWP and Oussou for a world tour sometime
next year is being worked out. A group of US based musicians are listening
to the songs and getting acquainted with them. The products CD/cassettes
will be released worldwide in distribution outlets/internet late July or
  early August 2000.

We pray that the relationship between Oussou and Al Greene will grow
stronger, so other Gambian Musicians may one day benefit in recording and
  distribution from Anonymous Web Production.

Oussou is taking the opportunity to thank His mother, his family, the Coker
family of Hartford, Ola, Beverly, Lemu & Nerissa, the management in Banjul
and the United States and all fans, for their prayer and best wishes.
