Saul -

Though surrounded by people daily, I think that this lady maybe one of the
loneliest people in the Gambia. She may have access to whatever her heart
desires, but I think the jet-setting and the shopping sprees are her
'psychological out' given the monster she lives with and calls hubby. What
I would really like to do is invite her over for a chat. There are a few
things I can help her with.

On the baby shower thing, I think her husband has pilfered enough to
guarantee that she lacks nothing, baby shower items or a castle in the air.

Soffie

As unbelieveable as it may be, it seems that none other than
Mrs. Zeinab
Jammeh is headed to Washington on maternity-related
business. It's not clear
if she'll wait for her delivery here, or if she's merely
coming to shop.
What is certain from informants is that "an advance party"
has arrived to
make arrangements for her. There is speculation that she's
staying till her
delivery. Personally, I find the whole thing perplexing, but
what about Yaya
                Jammeh isn't?

If the lady arrives, and there is the believe that she will
shortly, we'll
be counting on Soffie Ceesay to organize a Baby Shower for
the great madam.
Surely we can do that Auntie Soffie, can't we? You know -
show a little DC
Gambian hospitality. I'll keep my phone lines open because
for the first
time I won't have to curse my wife for dragging me to a Baby
Shower.

                Saul.
