Bajinka,

We have a full understanding of the democratic process and that is why you
can come to this forum and express your views and no one stops you from doing
so. That is also why we will not tolerate any attempts to stop Minteh from
revealing what he knows about this regime. Likewise, that is why we Gambians who
also do not agree with what this regime is doing to our country and people will
express our views here and will not tolerate anyone trying to silence us
through threats or any other means.
You know it is surprising that you are talking about democracy when you have
threatened people here stating that we need to remember that we have families
back home. Democratic governments and their supporters who understand the
process do not go around threatening or attempting to silence citizens who want to
express themselves as guaranteed by our constitution. Tyrants and
dictatorships and their supporters use those criminal methods to stop the people from
exercising what is their right, which is to express themselves and to oppose any
government or person who we feel is abrogating our rights.
Most important of all Bajinka, people who understand the democratic process
and who want to be protected by it must ensure that they do everything to
protect it for others. If you understood this process, you would not have the above
headline which in your own words reads: PRES JAMMEH IS HERE FOR GOOD.
In a democracy, presidents are never in office for good. They serve for a
given period of time if the people elect them to do so, and then they let the
democratic process give an opportunity to others. It is not a monarchy.
Therefore, you, like the people you support, do not understand the democratic process
and the evidence is ample for all to see.
