Pierre Gomez,

I will tell you this, so you do not keep Chongan and Minteh distracted. The officer responsible for leading the men in assaulting the Bakau Station, was nobody other than your Master, Yaya Jammeh. He was a notorious tortureer, whilst at the Gendarmerie and at the Military Police. He has left a legacy of unlawful arrest, detention, torture and killing throughout his miserable career, in the forces.
The Gendarmerie were there when the school kids were demonstrating in 1986-7, over school buses. They were equiped, trained and disciplined to handle civil unrest. Tell me, Pa Pierre, did they shoot any school kid down, or instead of containing the riot, spread it further down the country?
So why dont you go on with your own life and realise that nobody can defend this regime from its crimes. Yaya and some disgruntled junior officers mutinied against the government they swore to serve, and then concocted 11 Nov. to eliminate the few good officers and men who value democracy, and stayed in the force despite the odds. Waiting for the opportunity to return the country back to democracy and the rule of law. Yaya then used Continent Bank in early Jan 1995, to transfer funds to their private a/cs.
It was during one of those stealing errands that Ebou Jallow Alias Jammeh, absconded with the millions. Because some of the gang, Sana and Sadibou didnot agree to this siphoning, and their stay in power, they were arrested and jailed by a kangaroo court martial.
This gang further went on to undermine our good relationship with Senegal, by arming Casamance rebels, and allowing them to launch fund raising in the Gambia, even in our barracks. Yaya and his gang, then systematically wasted the hard earned reserves of the PPP government. Now the country is at the brink of bankruptcy with essential commodities scarce, and the dalasi skyrocketting every single day, you still have the audacity to defend these criminals. Dont you have any conscience?
I will let you in a little secret, this criminals' days are outnumbered, and you are better off just doing your job, let Yaya himself write to Chongan and Minteh, for he knows, without his leaning towards selfish tribalism ( Jola are the majority in the forces), Yaya has no personal or professional trait to keep democracy at bay.
You look after yourself.

My brother Chongan,

Can you please keep quiet and move on as you have stated. Do not attempt to raise questions you may not be willing to answer. I have never wished to talk about this, but i think i need to remind you that you were a leader in a notorious organisation. The Gandamere during your time was no doubt above the law. You yourself know that very well.

Ask how does a Gambian fell when you tell him i am taking you to Kombo Station. They know what to expect there. The technique of obtaining confession by the Gandamere was first you get undress and these boys prey on you like wolves on a dead horse. Even if Samba is offended in Banjul, he takes the matter to Kombo station instead of the Banjul Police station. I don't know why you locked Essa Sey up, but i know that no one questions the authority of the Gandamere. They were so powerful that they give less regard to established rules.

Example, you remember when one of your men was stop at a traffic by the police, your men mobilised and attacked the Bakau Police Station at night and bit up all the police officers. Nothing came out of it. They repeated it another night. Again nothing came out of it. You and your men were above the law and treated people like animals. I belief the Army boys treated you like that following july 22. You see Chongan, the history you are talking about, people know most of it. When you are in power and tread people like animals, you will be treated likewise. The power people give you is to protect them and not to hurt them. Today Jammeh has the power and he too, with that Gandamere background, cannot explain how and why people like Koro died.

Chongan, as a brother, i advise you to keep quiet and leave Binneh to continue his fabrications. His brother Ehou Coly and master Ams are making him to be completely lost.

Have a wonderful night
PG
