Mr. Halifa Sallah:

I want to make it clear to you and PDOIS that I respect your right to
political democracy even though I disagree with your political manifesto.
Socialism and communism are dead and cannot be revived in The Gambia.
Whether you adore socialism or communism, you have a right to participate in
constructive engagement.

History will attest to my assertion that you were not a Johnny come lately to
the struggle for democracy. You have indeed taken a neutral stand. This may
mean that you have been bought or you lack fire in your Tommy. What is
disturbing is your analytical view of situations which clearly shows you are
a closet supporter of the dictatorship? Your definition for the color of
yellow, is non-descriptive in that green and red are its ingredients. To
make it simple, Mr. Sallah, you are taking a long and dangerous turn in our
desire to reach the mountain top. It is psychologically frustrating that you
answer questions with questions. Please be realistic in defining or
describing the lack of fire in your belly. Pride and self promotion are
elements detrimental to our struggle against dictator yahya jamus.

It is childish that you still refuse to answer any of my questions. I do not
have to narrate events between UDP and terrorist Baba Jobe. You have heard
it from Mr. Ousainou Darboe and tireless fighter Mr. Femi Peters. You have
convinced me that you are not willing to compromise with any opposition
group. As members of the opposition, we have a moral obligation to join
forces. If we believe that dictator yahya is the worst thing that ever
happened to The Gambia, we have no business in engaging in disarray. We will
be sending a wrong message to The Gambian people if we fail to unite.

We must understand that there can only be one presidential candidate to fight
against terror, blatant disregard of truth and continuous assault on our
inherent political rights and responsibilities. We are call to service to
protect the interest of Gambians. A house divided will never stand. A
family that prays together, stays together. May we pray for a yahyaless
Gambia? We have no right to fight. Our enemy is dictator yahya jamus. Let
us unite. Brother Halifa, it is not too late to join the wagon of truth.
May we refrain from deceiving The Gambian people? God please help us.

Comrade,

ML Jassey-Conteh
Greensboro, NC/Eastern Kombo Constituency
