I will be traveling to the Gambia in December. If there is anything
that I can do to help with the process of educating, I am there. I will
be staying thru January. In which I will have plenty of time to pass
out pamphlets, and talk with individuals and groups, etc. I may be a
little blunt to some, at times but I am just trying to get the ball
rolling, (for a lack of better words) and get help for these innocent
girls. That is all, I might be white but I do have Gambian in my heart.
As I have said before I fell in love with the Gambia and it's people,
the first time I went there. My heart got broken in 1998 when I
witnessed the horrible act that was preformed on an innocent girl. I'm
just one person and since then I have returned to the Gambia two other
times and I have stopped this from happening to my Gambian niece and a
baby that I delivered. So please let me help! I am here for the
asking. As I said I will be going again in December and what not to
better spend my time then to do something that I believe is right and
that being, educating people on the risk of FGM! Thanks so much for
all the kind and not so kind replies to my emails. It's good to know
that people will stand up for what they believe no matter how many don't
like the topic and how ever graphic it may be! I saw this Quote at the
end of another email and it has a very strong
message, therefore I am including it at the end of mine.

"NOTHING IS UNACHIEVABLE, THE ONLY QUESTION IS, WHETHER ONE IS WILLING
TO DO WHAT IT TAKES TO ACHIEVE WHAT IS DESIRED"

THIS IS A VERY POWERFUL QUOTE!

Love,
Jennifer Eidson
