                                  EDITORIAL:JAMMEH'S TORTURERS AT WORK!!!
      EDITORIAL
The Freedom Newspaper, is deeply concerned about the ongoing torture going on at the NIA and Mile Two torture chambers. This paper was informed by a well placed source that the torture of the detainees were coordinated by people believed to be none Gambians hired by Jammeh. That Jammeh assigned them to take care of the detainees. That they walked into the prisons with masked at night and conduct the tortures. These are scary stories to say the least. Why exposing the detainees to such inhumane act? The civilized world need to come to Gambia’s aid. Our people are being tortured, maimed and killed without any justification.

The UN should step in now to avoid a blood bath Gambia. Gambians are very upset with the current state of affairs. The country, risked to be plunged into total crisis if Jammeh is not cautioned. The culture of killing, torture, disappearances is no longer new to the people of this country. Many people are ready for the worst , if the dictatorship failed to desist this undemocratic actions. Jammeh’s oppression against law abiding Gambians is becoming unbearable. He lied and cooked up stories against people who served him over the years. All these people arrested and detained cannot hate Yahya for nothing. The truth be told, Jammeh is a failure and it is unjust for him to use these folks as scapegoats.
These arrest and killings will further undermine his government’s future. Wronged families will never let these crimes against humanity go. They will ensure that justice is done on the death of their loved ones. Jammeh is driving our country into a dangerous zone and God knows what the future holds for our country in days to come.

THE LATE DABA MARENAH STOOD NEAR JAMMEH
  WITH THE KAFTAN
It is reported that the military and some security men are very unhappy with the man. That they are serving the country out of desperate, but in reality they are not in support of Jammeh’s killing syndrome. The emerging new Gambia will be very interesting, as there are many stories yet to be told. The NIA chiefs, military officers and others have a lot to tell Gambians about Yahya’s despotic rule. The doors of the Freedom Newspaper, are opened to people willing to expose the atrocities committed by this murderous regime.
We will not hesitate to publish stories affecting the lives of our oppressed people. It is time for Gambians to speak out. We will be doing disservice to our country, loved ones and the unborn generation, if we allow Yahya to continue to rule our country with impunity. We want our leaders and people to play by the democratic game. Dictators like Jammeh have no place in decent society. They got to go through the democratic way. Gambians should remain united and chase these vampires from our land. They are criminals bent on operating in the name of governance.
We are not surprised about Jammeh’s test march scheduled for April, 21ST, 2006. He is sending delegations across the country to rally behind the said march. If we may ask: What is the rationale behind such a march? If it is to gauge Jammeh’s popularity, forget it. Jammeh and his collapsed government are doomed for good.
He will be shocked that the military, the police, the army and the civilian community will vote against him in the October polls. People are fed up with “Jimboreh Jammeh.” The military and their families will not vote for Jimboreh, only for him to kill, lock up their loved ones in the name of coup. People are sick and tied with Jimboreh Jammeh. Jimboreh’s kingship stick had fallen in the Atlantic Ocean. Many said Jammeh is cursed by his marabout Chernbo Borgal. We seem to buy that story. Jammeh is mad.
The talk that there is an opposition within the army, the police, the NIA is becoming a true story. These folks should cool down and vote for the registered opposition parties and flush this shameless dictator packing. Let forget the issue of coups and allow the democratic process to prevail.
The opposition should organized a counter protest march come 21ST April to tell the world that Jammeh is a threat to peace and stability. If the said march is left unchallenged the world will believe that the man is loved by Gambians, when in actual fact, this is far from the reality. Jammeh is very, very unpopular within his own family. Jammeh is despised by his own family. It is ridiculous for him to turn around to tell us that he is loved by Gambians. Gambians do not want to see another five years rule of Jammeh. Jammeh is a failure and above all a political maroon. He is ruling our country by chance and time is up for him to go.
The Gambian opposition particularly the NADD leadership, UDP/NRP alliance should start organizing shown down action to condemn these maladministration taking place in The Gambia. Cheap press releases on Newspapers will not change the current situation. It is time for action to save The Gambia.
There is no doubt in our mind that Jammeh’s next intimidation project to rig the elections will be directed at political leaders. He is doing everything possible to scare the populace with the news of disappearances, torture, and killing of detainees. The NIAS are assigned to all internet cafes across the country. They monitored information going out of the country. Phone conversations are also monitored in some quarters.
Despite such security mechanism the Freedom Newspaper, will continue to rattle Yahya’s cage. Jammeh will be surprised to learn that our sources are dining with him every day. Our sources will always be protected. They are working very hard these days to trace the place where the murdered detainees were buried. It is reported that Harry Sambou has been fired following a leak about the killing of Daba Marenah and others. How true is boy Harry's firing? One thing we do know is that boy Harry is a great talkative and bufaaleh said the man hardly keeps secret. Perhaps, the usual "Temmeh" has broken again. Chey Gambia.
Jammeh we are told, is busy trying to jail brains in the NIA who might document the killing of Daba Marenah and others for posterity purposes. Our source will get back to us later on this. No body is safe in The Gambia, these days. The NIA, we are told is being presided by his own perceived right hand. Classified information are being declassified by his own right hands. Jammeh will be shocked about these revelations to come. It is time for Gambians to liberate themselves before Yahya will end up killing the entire country. God save The Gambia and her people.
