This is really tragic!! The artist of true liberation is no more? South Africa and Pan Africanists are in mourning! Certainly the assassins will gain fnothing from this while the struggle form freedom has lost one of its serene voices.

Humanity has again lost another icon and Africa has again lost another genuine voice of liberty and dignity.

That African child born on 3rd August 1964, survived the poor health that he was borned with which according to Wikipedia earned him the name Lucky, because doctors thought that he was going to die soon after birth.

As a child, this African icon to-be conquered ill-health and as an adult, he fought against apartheid. Since he was not superficial, he fought against the casues of war and crime instead of just condemning them. He became the voice of the voiceless and a sort of the centre of gravity for the marginalised and outcast.

It is therefore indeed an irony that he dies by the very hands of a people that he stood for all his live. The voice of peace and justice that fought against injustice and all its manifestations has been silenced.

A true ambassador of dignity has been murdered!

A tragedy has struck as the voice that brought joy to the homes of many a people has been silenced.

An ambassador of truth and joy has been assassinated.

Lucky Dube the man is gone forever but the voice of liberty and dignity will remain with human kind forever on the onward march to the ultimate goal of human existence, that is, the attainment of liberty and dignity for every human person on earth.

Lucky's 43 years of life was worth living as he immensely contributed to the struggle to enlarge human freedom and to end colossal deprivation in Southern Africa, Africa and beyond.

  Rest in peace Dube.

Lucky Dube was murdered last night in Johannesburg reportedly by armed robbers. This is a great loss to all reggae music fans and cravers of freedom worldwide. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.
