hi Edith,
just do the guy thing, and it'll work for you.

Thanks for the encouragement, JoAnn!

However, it would be nice to have some "girl" resources. Something that is
slightly less gung-ho than what I've found so far. Every time I've
approached a fitness program by trying to do the "guy" thing, I've hurt
myself, pulled or sprained the crap out of a variety of muscles, and been
forced to stop.

I am so wary of that kind of thing that I've been doing a low-to-no-impact
aerobic program for three months. I've gotten a bit more flexibility and
energy, and slightly larger calves. I haven't lost any weight.

I want to do something that is effective, but with a fairly low possibility
of damage. Maybe that's not realistic, but if I'm going to "evolve" back
into a cave girl, I have to crawl before I can walk, and walk before I can
start pushing mastodons over cliffs. :-)

Edith
