I'm handing control of the list to Keith.

I started this list to create a place for Art De Vany to share his ideas
and for us to discuss them. The list was relatively quiet when Dr. De
Vany was present and now with his absence, it has grown even more quiet,
though as Robb has pointed out, it has become more active of late. With
an abundance of worthy ideas and forums on the Internet and the near
zero cost of maintaining a subscription to our list, this state of
inactivity is not the worst thing in the world.

Unrealized is the best--a rich dialogue between 140 or so smart and
curious people. It's a shame if we have thoughts we could be sharing
with each other but aren't. Drawing people into discussion requires a
leadership not fulfilled by my self-decided passive role. Indeed, some
of you have participated generously in our egalitarian forum to feed our
minds and stoke our interest over the months. Recently, the list has
gotten more active and I realized that the activity could increase even
more if these active participants had a sense of ownership and the
ability to exploit the technical features of the list software.

Since we are a small list, rather than empanel a committee of new
owners, I picked Keith, arguably the most interested and active member
of the list, to take over. I hope no one feels slighted or overlooked
by my choice. Keith can share control or enlist other members any way
he choses.

That said and done, I have always considered this to be Dr. De Vany's
list since the defining feature has been his ideas. After all, the list
bears the name of his ideas. If Dr. De Vany wants to take control, we
will gladly relinquish to him.

I hope everyone is progressing toward their personal goals. As for
myself, I'm still can't gain anything but fat and glycogen despite all
the things I've tried so far. I'm ever optimistic that I can think my
way through.

"Fire from ice, can you think how?"
