The implication is, of course, that overpopulation is caused by people who eat a grain-and-legume-based diet. But in many instances, it is all that is available, all they can afford.

Whatever it was for our foreparents, let's face it, The Paleolithic diet of meat and fresh fruits/veggies--at least as practiced by **modern man**--is a luxury beyond the reach of many, many of earth's citizens.

I have friends from Cuba who tell me that a good salary in Cuba is fifteen dollars per month. If an average citizen wants meat, he or she has to buy it from a government-controlled store using American dollars. As a result, beans and rice is the mainstay of the daily Cuban diet.

Of course, they have contraceptives, but as we all know, these days, there is a backlash of resentment from people/countries where Western promotion of contraceptives is seen as gross interference in cultural and religious matters (and how ironic that "champions of liberty" seem to have ended up in that bossy, do-as-I-say role).

I would be happier to hear the Professor's thoughts on the contraceptive advantages of a Paleolithic diet if I thought he, or any other HG gurus, were at the same time spearheading a movement to bring the ideal diet to those who otherwise would never be able to eat two pounds of meat per day, let alone per year.

On the Closer To Truth segment in which Professor devany appears one of the panel points out that if every human who has ever lived were imortal, but had only one child (linear vs exponential growth) the world population would be about half what it is today. In HG societies average time between births
far a woman was 4yrs. Now, without contraception, it is less than one.
