You'll have a pretty good idea. Enough to reconsider some current beliefs.

Not that sure of the short time. It's an ecology out there, and this spells
populations and species at War for Equilibrium. Factor in the digestive
tracts properties (acidity for one, is a mighty barrier). Also factor the
impact of the immune system and chemicals and you'll find it's a hard to
change "instantly" (under 90 days) ecosystem.

As for your Vet experiences, I do not denigrate them, but their digestive
system is so complex, advanced and different that I dare not compare the
human one with it.
