Phil,

I look forward to your followup posts on this and particularly to
learning that you're feeling better in the mornings!

Now, you have to remember two things: 1) Don't give the oxygen to the
dogs; and 2) when you dream, remember your wife's name is Vivienne!
<SMILE>

Now, don't hit me, I'm fragile and out quick!

Subject: Update on sleep apnea

I received my equipment today and a very nice lady delivered it and
explained every detail. So, tonight will be my first night sleeping
with the equipment. Fortunately, this unit is brand new and is much
quieter than the hospital's machine. Additionally, this one has a water
vapor chamber, which makes the air breathed during the night, moist
instead of dry. Fortunately, my insurance is paying for the whole thing
which apparently costs about 1500 dollars, if not more, so thus far, we
have not had to pay for either of the sleep studies nor the equipment.
Part of what I had to be taught today was how to clean everything, too.
So that meant I had to learn how to take everything apart and put it all
back together. The machine has been preprogrammed for me to begin at a
lower pressure level and build to a full strength level of pressure in
45 minutes. At which time, I will hopefully be sound a sleep and be
dreaming peaceful exotic dreams. You know, exotic as in Africa or the
Caribbean or the south Pacific islands? At least I think that's what I
mean. However, if I do have any other unusual dreams, as I did while in
the hospital which I have already described, I will be certain to file
my nocturnal report here since I know everyone will be very interested
in whatever I have for a dream. I guess, if it comes right down to it,
my wife can go no mail for a day or two, until such reporting has
subsided.

Phil.
