Subject: [Hometown] [angelfriendschat] Fw: [AERNet] Vote for
accessiblemovies on DVD

This is a great idea! And I just voted.

Hi Everyone,

You may know that there are a lot of DVD's that are not audio described or
closed captioned. There is a company owned by Mark Heller that is looking
at the possibility of making some older B movies accessible through these
means, and are looking for folks to vote on the 2 movies they would most
like to see made accessible. It is not a marketing ploy to make you
purchase anything, just an effort to find out if there is sufficient
interest to do the project, and if so, which 2 movies to use to start the
project. He is asking for help in identifying people who might vote for
their favorites as an indication of those who might enjoy this type of
accessible entertainment.

To date Mark has only received 63 votes - so its hard for him to feel that
captioning and audio describing movies is going to be worth the investment.
He has extended the voting deadline through the rest of the year, so it
would be great if you could take two minutes to go to the website, vote for
two movies, and pass on this email to your friends, particularly those in
the deaf/hh and blind/low vision communities.

Even if you do buy his films, this poll is a great way to let Mark know that
you appreciate his efforts to make more videos - particularly non-mainstream
films - fully accessible.

Here's the website:
http://www.cadentertainment.com/.

If you have any trouble accessing his site, or if you have any questions
about this project, please don't hesitate to ask my friend Jay Wyant at
CaptionMax who is helping get this word out. His email is

Have a great weekend!
