Miss Amazing events are for women with all kinds of disabilities who can come to a talent show and pageant that has more to do with things like what we enjoy doing.  So, Friday night was the Miss Amazing Talent Showcase, where i played my qChord, then today I got myself hair and makeup styled and photo shoots.  Then we each went through five interviewing judges who briefly asked  basic info about ourselves.  Then in the final show in the afternoon, I went to the stage, once to just wave at the crowd, the next where I briefly took the microphone with a few introductory facts about myself.  I mentioned that I’m a cochlear implant recipient and certified volunteer, and proclaimed Jesus Christ to be my best friend, the best friend anyone can have.  Then I went around the stage arm in arm starting at the half point with a Right-hand man who seemed nice.  I had a wonderful buddy assigned to me today through the entire process.  She’s a college student from Salt Lake studying to be an RN.  we each received a medal and a flower, (Mine was a red rose but I don’t know about everyone else.) for the talent show, then today we received a princess crown and trophy.  My sister bought me another red rose.
