Have you heard about the woman in Saudi Arabia who was arrested three years
ago by the Religion Police, so called, because they said she was a witch?
She is scheduled to be beheaded any day now.  They forced a confession out
of her by literally whipping it out of her and made her, unable to read the
confession because she cannot read, finger print the document.  There is no
penal code in Saudi Arabia so the law you break is whatever they say it is.
Only the King can pardon her and there is a national religious effort afoot
to try and get world governments to put pressure on the king to do exactly
that.  Yes, he has done so before.  You don't want to be a woman in Saudi
Arabia; our beloved oil ally.
