Doris, I know you may be against medication. But if you consider all the
dammage that can be done with high blood sugar readings, using meds for a
short time until your levels are more normal is really not a bad idea. No
one is saying things have to always be this way; the concern is for your
health. Perhaps you need to explain to your doctor that you will try the
medication for three months, and once your levels are down, you want to see
if you can keep them down with diet alone
