What this man did was reprehensible no doubt, but, after all we kill beef in
just as inhumane ways, and eat them. You should see the horrible things
done to chickens before we kill them and eat them. What is the difference
between this sort of cruelty and that we show to animals and lobsters we
eat? Why do we show more respect to canines than we show bovines, fish or
birds. I say they are all animals and we have dominion over them all. We
have no rite to judge the cruelty others show dogs if we are willing to eat
a cow who has been allowed to stand for hours in it's own waste before we
kill it to eat. Before which we feed it corn, not native to them, just to
make them fat and succulent for our own tables. Its miss feeding causes
them inordinate distress. But, do we care. We do not. This is why we eat
animals without knowing how they were prepared for our consumption. So,
till we do care, we are in no position to judge the cruelty of others.
