Vicki,  We decided against it because we weren't sure that he would have
a microwave.  We weren't even sure where he would be staying at the time.
 As it turns out, he ended up in an apartment on campus and there was a
microwave, but, we forgot to give him a can opener so he would have still
been left in the lurch.
