Hi Terry,

Just a point of clarification. If I understand how the Lift Transcoder
works correctly, it converts WebPages on the fly so there isn't a second
site to maintain. This is the big selling point.

Penny:

I agree with Dick. As soon as you start creating those text pages, you
now have a "second" site to maintain. You have doubled the work load to
maintain the site whether you get a service to convert the pages or you
do it manually. Either way, you will now have two sites to take care
of. It will take time to make the site accessible, but it is worth it.

Once your programmers get used to what they have to do, then it will
become second nature to them. If the site developers are using
Dreamweaver MX,
MX04 or Studio 8, it's even easier to create an accessible site. You
can go into the "Preferences" and turn on all the accessibility options
to help them build the site. Dreamweaver will prompt them on what to do
when encountering problem areas like tables, frames, and graphics. This
will also be a good way to reinforce what they need to do.

Good luck. I hope you can get them to change their minds. I hope this
information was helpful.
