If you have the OpenBook version 6 or 7 scanning software you can use the
print command and choose the Freedom Import printer.  It will convert the
document and then you can save it as a word or text file or whatever.
Also, if you have downloaded Adobe 6 you can sometimes save the file as a
text file if the security level doesn't prevent this.  I hope this helps.
