I'm using it on a daily basis with no stability problems. They are up to
5.0.812 which has provided some improvements.

Subject: Stability of Jaws 5.0

Hello EASI Colleagues,

What are your thoughts on JAWS 5.0? One of my clients is using Version 4.5.
At
the Boulder AT conference last November, several users told me that JAWS 5.0
is less stable than JAWS 4.x. The new features in Version 5.0 are very
tempting, though. The command that lists form fields/controls could be
extremely useful.
