Developing and Implementing a Campus Web Accessibility Policy Trials and
Tribulations
http://www.rit.edu/~easi

Alice Anderson and Troy Duffy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
present their experience in creating a campus-wide policy for Web
accessibility. The University of Wisconsin system has been a leader in
developing policies for accessible Web pages. Whether or not Section 508
is thought to apply to your campus, legislation does require that your
facilities, including online facilities, be accessible to your students
with disabilities. Faculty cannot be expected to under legislation or
technical Web jargon. Every campus should create an institutional policy
that it is prepared to enforce and that its faculty can understand and can
fulfill.

October 6 begins the next offering of Beginner Barrier-free Web Design,
