Hi all,
David, if you had kept the welcome message which contains that info in
a folder in your mail program called lists, like most people do, you
would not be requesting that EASI become a platter list where all your
info is given to you each time you get an msg because the listowners
figure you aren't organized enough to keep such info. Besides, EASI
is an international list and three lines of text accompanying each
message adds up. Unlike Arizona, people in Europe and Africa and in
Asia have to pay by the byte for their messages. Or, they pay by how
long they stay online. If you multiply three lines of text times 10,
that's 30 lines of repeted text. Multiply that by 100 and you have
300 lines of repeted text. This list is archived, David and 300 lines
of repeted text is 12 pages of material, that's 12,000 bytes more or
less. Now do you see why your request for a silver platter is
wasteful and selfish? If you keep the info you are given when it is
given to you, then you do not harm anyone else. <sighing> This
doesn't even get into the issue of space on the Maelstrom hard disk
for archives.
Here is the info you need.

In the body of the message write:
signoff easi
this info applies to all lists on the Maelstrom server. You can get
the quick reference card for the list commands too by sending an
info refcard command to listserv.
