Digital materials and delivery systems are becoming commonplace

in elementary and secondary classrooms. Initial findings from The

Center on Online Learning and Students with Disabilities have

identified a number of significant concerns related to this shift. This

session will present an overview of these challenges in the areas of

policy, accessibility, monitoring and accountability and teacher

preparedness within the context of Universal Design for Learning,

and the steps required to assure that the inherent promise of

digital learning is realized for students K-12 students with sensory,

physical and learning disabilities.
