NEADS 20th Anniversary National Conference Call for Participation

Come celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the
National Educational Association of Disabled
Students (NEADS) at our conference: Creating Our Future: On Campus and Beyond.

The event will take place at the Delta Ottawa
Hotel and Suites, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, from November 10th-12th, 2006.

The four workshops that all delegates will participate in are:
1. Job Search Strategies: Competing in The Employment Market
2. Looking Into the Future of Post-Secondary Education
3. Creating Leaders for the Future
4. New Developments in Disability Studies

As part of the Job Search Strategies workshop,
students and recent graduates with disabilities
will have an opportunity to sit down with a
career counseling professional to review their
resume. This is thanks to BMO Capital Markets and
its Equity Through Education program which is
sponsoring the Job Search Strategies initiative.

soulignant le 20e anniversaire de NEADS

Venez célébrer le 20e anniversaire de
l’Association nationale des étudiant(e)s
handicapé(e)s au niveau postsecondaire (NEADS) en
assistant à notre conférence, dont le thème sera
« Créer notre avenir : sur les campus et au delà ».

L’événement aura lieu à l’Hôtel et Suites Delta
Ottawa, à Ottawa (Ontario), Canada, du 10 au 12 novembre 2006.

Tous les délégués prendront part aux quatre ateliers suivants :
1. Stratégies de recherche d’emploi : être
compétitif sur le marché de l’emploi ;
2. L’avenir de l’éducation postsecondaire ;
3. Créer des leaders pour demain ;
4. Progrès récents dans les études sur les personnes handicapées.

Lors de l’atelier sur les stratégies de recherche
d’emploi, les étudiants et nouveaux diplômés
handicapés auront l’occasion d’examiner leur
curriculum vitae en compagnie d’un spécialiste de
l’orientation professionnelle. Ce service sera
gracieusement offert par la société BMO Marché
des capitaux et son Programme Action-Éducation,
qui parraine l’initiative des stratégies de recherche d’emploi.
