Aloha,

Just wanted to share what I saw in Japan regarding assistance for people
with disabilities.  Not sure about the mainland US, but I don't see these
accommodations in Hawaii where I live.

1.  All elevators had a lower buttons panel for people in wheelchairs
either on one or both sides of the elevator and there was audio.

2.  In public transportion areas such as the train stations and subways,
they had guides on the floor with grids or bumps so blind people can tell
which direction to walk and stand.

3.  There was a nightly news were the newscasters spoke and did
sign-language and all the video out in the field were captioned.
