Yes, I saw Rush on the interview program, Evans and Novak, today and we
noticed that he looks to have had a face lift? He appears much heavier but his
face suddenly looks younger and thinner, from the chin up, his neck is as big
as ever.

Anyway, I also thought that the simplest answer to Saddam was to say O.K. and
take our folks off the inspection team. To hear our folks they seem to think
the job cannot be done without our men. That is hard to believe since almost
all of our developments came from other sources, i.e., radar from the British,
Nuclear stuff from Szilard, Fermi, et al, rocketry from Von Braun, etc. I
simply can't believe that the other representatives can't do our hunting for
us.

McLaughlin had a time with his panel trying to point out that our appearance to
the rest of the world was as the big bully who was looking for a chance to pop
the little fellow, even if the little was playing with big toys. No one else
agreed with him though...

Cordially,

Bob
