An interesting aspect of attempted character assassination is that it is
a favored tool of the intellectually feeble. Unsurprisingly, the bulk of
sociologists exhibit the same intellectual characteristic, even going so far
as to claim their trade is a science when, in fact, they are really only
glorified data collectors trained to categorize things. This is why their
blatherings are largely confined to their 'professional community.' But they
are quite useful to left and right wing fascists and other totalitarians who
use their 'norming' and categorizing talents to justify oppressing those who
oppose or threaten them. It is a 'professional' trade made popular by the
industrial revolution and its concomitant demand for conformity and
standardization of parts (which includes workers at all levels), all of which
serves the socialist and capitalist masters of that revolution.

As to academia, it is for the most part really nothing more than a
reservoir of dull witted chaps attempting to engrave in stone the concepts of
a by-gone age, fearing nothing more than a challenge to orthodoxy. Has
anything of human value ever been initially supported by the dullards of
academia?
Yours,
Issodhos
