'Cambodia Year Zero' by Francois Ponchaud, for starters.

'Actually-existing socialism' has deliberately killed upwards of a
hundred million people this century in its Nazi, Soviet, Chinese, Khmer Rouge
etc. variants. It has made life a misery for more than a thousand million
people. Excuse me if I don't blame America (with all its faults) for all of
this.

The Nazis (German National Socialist Workers' Party) boasted that their
economy was more highly planned than Stalin's USSR.

Obergruppenfuhrer Mueller, Himmler's deputy and architect of the
Gestapo, modelled it on Stalin's NKVD. In 1943 he went to work for General
Viktor Abakumov of Soviet Military Intelligence, and promptly accelerated the
slave labour camp killings (perhaps to damage the Nazi war effort by
depriving it of their production).
