I'm confused on some of the lab results tha we got back for our kids.

My two oldest are not symptomatic. they are 5 and 4. My 16 mo old, however is very sensitive, which is the reason that I'm so confused.

They were all negative for IgA anti-Gliadin and reticulin.

they were all high for the IgG gliadin antibodies. My two boys the 5 year old and the 16 mo old were extremely high and my daughter was just barely out of the reference range. Top of the reference range was 29 and she was 31. The boys were 61 and 65.

IgA anti-Endomysial was neg on all three.

Which really confuses me because my baby,

like I said is extremely sensitive to gluten.

He gets very bad diarrhea and also a rash on his trunk that lasts for 3 days.

do these results necessarily mean that they don't have celiac. 17 people in my family have it so I really can't see any other reason that the IgG gliadins should be so high.

Thanks to anyone that can help me understand these results.

Christina (from WY)
