In Bory's summary of Dr. Fasano's lecture at the CDF meeting, he wrote:

Bory, from my limited understanding of HLA typing in Celiac, you have this
backwards.
To quote from the Kagnoff's chapter in the 1992 Marsh treatise 'Coeliac
Disease'..

K>In some populations, DQw2 is found in 100% of individuals
K>with CD whereas in control populations this marker is
K>present in 25-30% of such individuals..... p. 225

The great majority of DQw2 individuals will never develop Celiac, even though
almost everyone with Celiac has DQw2.
