I too have made great ice cream using whatever ingredients I want with a
Donvier (I've no connection with the company) ice-cream maker. I'm of the
generation that remembers hand-cranking for hours and so thought I wasn't
interested in home-made. To my surprise and delight, the Donvier and
others like it are absurdly easy and quick and make pretty good ice cream
(or milk, or yogurt, or ice whatever).

I did a search on Alta Vista to find out if the Donvier folks were still
around (mine was a used donation from a parent's friend) and found a page
dedicated to this type of ice cream maker that discusses several brands.

information, please e-mail me and I'll see if I can download it and pass it

Walla Walla (where it's very hot in the summer and ice cream is a necessity)
