Today (3:oo pm e.s.t.) I called the Consumer Care Division of Bayer.
(No. 800-800-4793) I spoke with Rhonda who stated that Bayer no longer
guarantees any of their products to be gluten free.  I was surprised to
hear this, because I had been informed by them in the past that
Alka-Seltzer was gf.  So, I checked the archives and found a post from
1999 that stated that Bayer was in the process of reviewing the gf
status of their products.  So....I quess they did.  Anyway, Rhonda said
that they get too many ingredients from other suppliers and could no
longer state that their products are free of gluten.
