Dr. Holland is correct, Petrolatum is not listed as a neurotoxin.  My
apologies for the incorrect information.

The Vaseline container does say: "Warning: For external use only."
Online pharmacies note that in cases of accidental ingestion of petroleum
jelly, one should call a physician or poison control center.  The only
effect of ingestion that I could find was that it causes a mild laxative
effect.

I would like to hear of anyone experiencing a similar absence of numbness
after giving up Chapstick/vaseline products.
