Hi all,

There was an article in yesterday's Vancouver Sun about a researcher in Alberta who is working on a project to turn grain waste from brewing beer into xylitol, a sugar substitute.

Here's the link to the story:

http://www.canada.com/edmontonjournal/news/local/story.html?id=7837086a-14b8-4c98-a7af-35948f979258&k=77341

Needless to say, how would we be affected if this researcher is successful? Another hidden trap? Would ingredients legislation in the States and Canada protect us?

Helen in Vancouver, BC
