Today I talked to very helpful customer service people at Lactaid
(1-800-LACTAID) who told me:

1.  Lactaid brand reduced-lactose milk and yogurt products are gluten-free;

2. Lactaid tablets have no gluten per se in the formula but cannot be
guaranteed to be gluten-free because of possible cross-contamination in
production of some of the ingredients by some suppliers;

3. Lactaid liquid drops contain gluten!

 If you want Lactaid to try to formulate a gluten-free liquid lactase drop
(for treating milk before you drink it), it would help for folks to call
1-800-LACTAID and nicely let them know that we would like to buy only
gluten-free products. The phone logs of such calls are shown to the research
& development department, which decides whether it's worthwhile to remove
gluten from their products.
