Hello everyone. I called the numnber (800-841-1256) for French's
Mustard today and talked with someone in the product safety division
about the vinegar in French's Mustard. She said that the vinegar is
stilled from alcohol which is derived from a petroleum product--and
absolutely no wheat, barley, oats or rye was used in the manufacture
of the alcohol or vinegar. They assured me that the following
products are GLUTEN FREE because the vinegar was processed in this
manner:

French's Mustard
French's Worcestershire
Cattleman's BBQ Sauce
French's Red Hot Sauce

In my excitement, I hung up the telephone before asking her name.

I am so pleased--going to have either a mustard-laden, homemade corny
dog or some mustard-flavored potato salad tonight!
