It seems that several people on the list have little luck with the current
proton pump inhibitors such as Prevacid and Prilosec. This article in
Medscape might be interesting for them -- or not: It does have some
interesting positive info about the safety of these drugs in general. It is
also beneficial to healing GERD. -vance

Study shows rabeprazole provides first-dose heartburn relief
In a study presented at the annual Digestive Disease Week (DDW) meeting,
patients with non-erosive reflux disease (NERD) experienced significant
symptom improvement for both daytime and night-time heartburn after taking
rabeprazole (Pariet/Aciphex).
