Because of the importance of the historic "National Institutes of Health
Consensus Conference on Celiac Disease" the list serve owners have
permitted us to post this announcement of a specially arranged Bob &
Ruth's Gluten-free Getaway.

Dr. Alessio Fasano, Medical Director of the Center For Celiac Research
at the University of Maryland says "This conference is an historical
achievement for the Celiac community, since it represents the official
recognition of Celiac Disease as a health problem that deserves the
attention of the highest governmental scientific authority."

This conference will be the most comprehensive medical conference on
Celiac Disease in the U.S. since the 9th International Symposium in
Baltimore in 2000. Specifically, the conference will address the
following key questions: * How is celiac disease diagnosed? * How
prevalent is celiac disease? * What are the manifestations and
long-term consequences of celiac disease? * Who should be tested for
celiac disease? * What is the management of celiac disease? * What
are the recommendations for future research on celiac disease and
related conditions?

Celiac experts from the U.S. and abroad have been invited to present the
latest data. The agenda of speakers and schedule has not yet been posted
to the NIH's website, but should be in a few weeks and believe me - it's
impressive. You may find additional information and register for the
Conference by going to their website at :
http://consensus.nih.gov/cons/118/celiacbackground.html .

There is NO COST to attend the Conference - but you MUST REGISTER by
June 1, 2004.
