Happy New Year!

If you're looking for inspiration for safe GF travel ideas in 2017, check out our website, GlutenFreeTravelSite. Here are our TOP 5 suggestions:

1.) Chile -- A new GF itinerary was just unveiled from Ellen Morse, a GF travel specialist who is Celiac herself. She is a top notch professional who leaves no stone unturned for her clients. Chile combines perfect weather with amazing historical sites, adventure, and visits to vineyards. Learn more in our latest Blog post: http://bit.ly/2hIor5B

Ellen has many other itineraries for destinations previously hard for GF travelers (but now accessible thanks to her hard work!). You'll find them on our GF Getaways page: https://glutenfreetravelsite.com/glutenfreegetaways.php

2.) Italy -- A perennial favorite, this destination is particularly GF-friendly, too. With the dollar so strong against the euro right now, it's also a great value. Our family had an amazing experience visiting Rome, Florence, and Venice this past summer, and I wrote an e-book detailing the best places to eat for GF travelers...complete with maps, reviews, money-saving tips, guidance on accommodations, and general sightseeing advice. This book will save you dozens of hours of your own planning and is available on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2aamE5t

3.) London -- We were equally impressed with London, and you'll find my Gluten-Free in LONDON e-book on Amazon, too ( http://amzn.to/1xv65qh ). Like my Italy e-book, it includes advice on accommodations, money-saving tips, and general travel recommendations...and, of course, plenty of safe dining recommendations and reviews for restaurants all over London. (And, of course, the dollar is strong against the British pound right now, meaning more value for your money!) Over 100 hours (and a lot of passion!) went into compiling both the Italy and London e-books. They're a great value and will very likely provide inspiration for your own trip.

4.) Mexico or the Caribbean -- Lesley Hayden-Hock at Travel Leaders is another travel specialist who always has great suggestions -- including many GF-friendly resorts in lovely MEXICO and the CARIBBEAN. In fact, there are amazing deals being offered right now, including on all-inclusive resorts. Call her at 800-487-6110 or email her at [log in to unmask] As with most travel agents, there are no booking charges for her services.

5.) A Cruise -- Another of Lesley's specialties, cruises have become a favorite of the GF set. That's because most major cruise lines are happy to accommodate GF diners -- and have proper procedures in place for meal preparation. However, some cruise lines are better than others, so you'll want to consult Lesley (number above) for the best options...which will also be influenced by your travel budget, interests, and preferences.

As always, feel free to email me with any questions. I love hearing from you and would love to help steer you toward a dream vacation, where you can relax knowing your GF needs will be met!

Until next month...

Safe and happy GF travels,
