A summary of responses to my call for unitification of the celiac groups:

I agree with you. In my opinion, the problem isn't if some grain or another
does or does not contain a harmful gluten but that there needs to be truth in
all labeling of food products. I realize that CSA doesn't agree with the fact
that quinoa, buckwheat and amarath doesn't contain harmful glutens. They simply
won't agree that some people are just plain sensitive to them just as some are
sensitive to various kinds of nuts. soy and even corn. If they would only, as
you stated, leave their egos at the door, so to speak, and really address the
issue, truth in labeling. If at some time this is possible then not only
Celiacs but others with various intolerances to some food substances will have a
fighting chance to remain healthly. Connie

Good idea! while the list is a great resource we should use it to try to affect
meaningful change Thanks Dan

What a great idea. You have my support. Arlene

Thanks for the post about my site and uniting the group. Just a quick addition
to the information. Dr. Alessio Fasano and Dr. Karoly Horvath will be host to
the 10th International Symposium on Celiac Disease in 2000, so they are gaining
some serious clout. Scott

There are two other posts that are thought provoking but lengthy that I will
post separately. I have already posted anothor relating to the Canadian Celiac
Assn and have a reply to that I will also post. Thanks!

Diane
