A group of friends wants to go to an Indian buffet tomorrow. I can't seem to get the place on the phone.

Are there any caveats about going to an Indian restaurant? I know I can't have naan. I don't like buffets, in general, because of people using the same spoons in various bins and dripping food. But I do want to go with the girls.

I've got Chinese and Thai restaurants down to a science (as good as it can get...always a risk), but I never go to Indian places. One of the woman, who happens to be from India, but never had to think in terms of gf before, said there are lots of vegetable dishes, lentils, and chicken and mutton. (I won't eat mutton). But I'm not sure what's in the sauces.

I make pompadoms at home (lentil), but my oil is not contaminated.

I know the usual questions. Been gf forever. But I'm just wondering if any of you have questions that are specific to Indian restaurants.

This one is called Monsoon. It may be a chain.

Thanks.

Lin
