Hi folks,
Well I'm moving out of my comfort zone and planning a 4 day trip to New
Orleans French quarter with a friend. I don't want to move my auto so I
plan on eating only within the French quarter or places I can walk or take a
cab. I've checked the archives, got some good suggestions but nothing since
early 2009.

Here's what I found for the French quarter:
Muriel's - summary says they've been there several times and they will fix
whatever you want GF from the main menu.
Surry's on Magazine - great GF omelets
Mona's - a Mediterranean style restaurant with several locations - people
have eaten their chicken kabobs without incident
Nirvana on Magazine St. - Indian restaurant
Bennachin's - 1212 Royal St. - African restaurant, very quirky place with
good food.
Juan's flying Burrito on Magazine & Canal @ Carrollton - fish tacos and
killer mango margaritas
Emeril's - expensive option but can accommodate GF
Casamento's on Magazine
Port O Call

An update on any of the above and additional places I can eat would be
great. Any suggestions of things to do during the day would be nice too.

Thanks so much, [log in to unmask]
