HONORS FOR CELIAC TEEN IN BRYAN, TX
TAYLOR JENSEN, celiac daughter of Denise Fries, a leader of the
College Station/Bryan celiac support group, is being recognized as a
recipient of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation and
the 2007 Prudential Spirit of Community awards program for her volunteer and
leadership role in Celiac Disease awareness. She is 13 and a student at
Saint Michael's Academy in Bryan. She will receive recognition in Houston
at the Marriott Hotel on Wed. April 18th. She has not only triumphed over
her medical condition, but has gone on to be a leader in the field to help
other children with the same diagnosis.
This is President Bush's program recognizing volunteers in America.
Prudential also recognizes volunteers, so she's won both awards.
She is available to talk to celiac kids, both newly diagnosed and veterans.
Her email address is [log in to unmask], in case anyone needs to chat.
